• Grace falls pregnant after spending the summer holidays cooped up with Rich and although he is more than accepting with her choice in keeping the baby; her father is not. Keeping it a secret for months, her cover is blown and Mr. Blood decides he’s had enough with Rich’s less than proper relationship with her daughter, and quickly kicks whisks her away to Mayberry’s. After weeks of feeling as if he is letting her and the baby down, Rich goes to confront Blood but is stopped when he finds out Grace has fallen ill. Rushing to the hospital on a high of panic; Rich comes to find her alive and well, then standing up to Blood about his love for Grace
• Alo’s father is once again in hospital due to heart problems, but this time it’s fatal. After leaving the hospital; Alo turns to Rich for help but is still left feeling alone. Alo realises he has to learn to grow up on his own and starts to isolate himself to working on the farm. Although his mother appreciates his new found maturity, she too is feeling the grief yet the two band together as son and mother and learn they both mean more to each other than they once thought
• Franky continues to question her sexuality after a messy split with Matty, questioning if anyone is right for her at all. She tries to hook up with another boy, any other boy to feel normal, but continues to blame herself for the relationships not working. Meanwhile, Mini tries to ignore her feelings for Franky yet constantly tries to protect her from the boys she manages to cling herself to. After yet another situation in which Franky is left by boy, Mini finally confesses her feelings  and the pair try to work out their insecurities together; finally ending up together with mutual feelings
• Liv’s alcohol consumption and lack of guidance starts to take huge tolls on not just herself, but her family. With her sister now out of prison and her mother away more than usual she is trying harder to escape, which is made easier after the arrival of Alex, but her methods of escape are quickly passing over towards Maude. After another night drinking she finds her sister gone without a trace, but as the alcohol takes affect and she soon finds herself experiencing severe stomach cramps. Reluctantly making her way to the doctors, she finds that she has cervical cancer. Coming home to find both sisters and her mother, she tells them about her medical problems. Her mother is shocked and keen to help, but Liv is quick to dismiss her help
• Alex arrives in Bristol, with no intentions of staying, and quickly makes friends with Liv. His new found friendship soon leads him into the gang where he meets Nick, who is feeling more than alone after his brother’s decision to leave after his split with Franky. Alex tries to show him that he doesn’t need anyone to bring him down, but a secret relationship between the two follows. As members of the group slowly begin to find out, Nick begins to feel more and more of an outsider. When Matty makes an unexpected return, Alex makes an unexpected departure leaving Nick to sort out his situation with his brother
